14 | 2026 ASCRS PREVIEW PROGRAM ASCRS PROGRAM MAIN STAGE SATURDAY, APRIL 11 10:30–11:30 a.m. Main Stage Opening Session This Main Stage event features the Cornelius D. Binkhorst, MD, Lecture given by Kerry Solomon, MD, and interviews with the incoming and outgoing ASCRS Presidents, the Chang-Crandall Humanitarian Award, and the ASCRS Hall of Fame Ceremony. Moderator: Thomas Samuelson, MD 1:00–2:30 p.m. X-Rounds: Refractive Cataract Surgery to the Max This fast-paced session will feature the latest and greatest in refractive cataract surgery. Leading surgeons will discuss new and future advances in cataract surgery, improving outcomes, refractive IOLs, and case management. The panel will facilitate discussion on current refractive cataract issues that today's ophthalmologists are facing. Moderator: Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD 3:30–5:00 p.m. ASCRS Has Got Talent This 90-minute ASCRS program will feature four international teams of cataract surgeons (representing North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific) competing in a video symposium highlighting practical pearls for routine and complicated cataract surgery and advanced-technology IOLs. An international panel of four judges (one representing each region) will comment after each presentation, and the audience will vote on the winning talks. Moderator: David F. Chang, MD SUNDAY, APRIL 12 10:30–11:30 a.m. Sunday Main Stage This Main Stage event features the Charles D. Kelman, MD, Innovator's lecture given by Sean Ianchulev, MD, as well as the Richard L. Lindstrom, MD, lecture given by David F. Chang, MD. Moderator: Thomas Samuelson, MD 5:15–7:15 p.m. 44th Annual ASCRS Film Festival Reception and Ceremony Winning films are announced and showcased at the ASCRS Annual Meeting during the 44th Annual ASCRS Film Festival Ceremony.
