4 | 2025 ASCRS MEETING GUIDE ASCRS PROGRAM GENERAL INFORMATION ASCRS Main Stage ASCRS Main Stage events will be held Friday through Sunday. ASCRS Main Stage events recognize the early pioneers of ophthalmology, as well as those continuing the legacy today, with distinguished named lectures and keynote speakers, innovative symposia, and meaningful awards and honors. Symposia ASCRS Symposia will be held Friday through Monday. Featuring content developed by ASCRS Clinical Committees and invited associations, ASCRS Symposia offer essential educational content across anterior segment surgery topics. Instructional Courses ASCRS will offer Instructional Courses Friday through Monday. Courses are 90-minute instructional sessions that include time for interactive discussion among the instructors and audience. Each of the planned 84 courses is based on one of more than 35 clinical categories/topics. Scientific Paper Sessions* ASCRS Scientific Paper Sessions will be held Saturday through Monday. Each session is based on one of more than 35 clinical categories/topics and will include up to 15 paper presentations based on accepted abstracts submitted by attendees for the 2025 ASCRS Annual Meeting. Each session is 90 minutes in length. At the end of each session, the moderator and panelists will confer to select the Best Paper of Session winner. ASCRS Skills Transfer Labs ASCRS Skills Transfer Labs will be held Saturday through Monday, and ASCRS Young Eye Surgeons (YES) Skills Transfer Labs will be held on Friday and Saturday. Skills Transfer Labs facilitate hands-on experiences to train on the latest surgical techniques with guidance from expert faculty. Additional registration is required. Scientific Films* ASCRS Scientific Films will be available for viewing in the Education Hub during the ASCRS Annual Meeting and on the ASCRS website year-round. The 43rd ASCRS Film Festival will be held during the 2025 ASCRS Annual Meeting. Winning films are showcased at the ASCRS Annual Meeting during the Film Festival Ceremony. Submitted films are judged, and awards are given to the top films in each category with an overall grand prize winner. Award-winning films are also celebrated for their innovation and educational value throughout the year in ASCRS publications, on the ASCRS Annual Meeting On Demand website, and at other ophthalmology meetings. Roundtable Discussions ASCRS Roundtable Discussions are back by popular demand. There will be a breakfast session on Sunday from 7:00–8:00 a.m. Attendees can engage with a faculty member and other attendees in a small group setting to discuss various anterior segment surgery topics. Electronic Posters ASCRS Electronic Posters will be available for viewing in the Education Hub during the ASCRS Annual Meeting and on the ASCRS website year-round. The authors of Electronic Posters selected for an award will be given the opportunity to present their poster live at the meeting in a session moderated by the poster judges. Meeting registration is required for all lead/presenting poster authors. Evaluate Sessions and Claim Credits The ASCRS and ASOA Programs can be evaluated electronically. A valid badge number is needed for access to Evaluation and Credit Claim. Attendees have three options for evaluating sessions and claiming credit. Onsite: Visit any Education Hub station and evaluate sessions and claim credit. Education Hub stations are located throughout the Convention Center. *These are non-CME.
