38 | 2024 ASCRS ASOA PREVIEW PROGRAM TECHNICIANS & NURSES PROGRAM OPTIONAL PROGRAMS Biometry Learning Labs Additional registration/fees apply session #1 Friday, April 5: 8:00–11:00 a.m. session #2 Friday, April 5: 1:00–4:00 p.m. This learning lab will guide the attendee through the biometry process, with the objective of elevating the attendee's knowledge of IOL calculation measurements, demonstrating how to translate and correlate the results through the hands-on use of multiple instruments. The attendees will rotate through stations, each with different equipment. These planned stations include IOLMaster (Carl Zeiss Meditec), LENSTAR (Haag-Streit), ARGOS (Alcon), and ultrasound A-scan. At each station, attendees will have the opportunity to practice the skill and perfect their technique. This prep course will cover all areas included in the IJCAHPO core certification content. An introduction to the simulation component will be provided. Prerequisite: COA certification or proof of enrollment in an accredited COT program required. Verification from the program director will be required.
