2023 ASCRS ANNUAL MEETING PREVIEW PROGRAM
ASCRS SUBSPECIALTY DAY
ASCRS REFRACTIVE DAY
Refractive Day will focus on how developing your EI (emotional
intelligence) can complement your patients' IQ (image quality)
to optimize their experience with refractive surgery. In addition
to maximizing visual outcomes with new surgical techniques and
technology, the ability to refine and improve patient assessment and
counseling skills—both preoperatively and postoperatively—helps
to ensure that patient expectations are met and exceeded. Case-
based learning, expert panel discussions, role playing, and didactic
presentations will be integrated with audience participation to help
surgeons improve both EI and IQ.
