2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting Preview Program | 21 ASCRS PROGRAM PROGRAM INFORMATION Courses ASCRS will offer Instructional Courses Saturday through Tuesday. Course presentations are 90-minute instructional sessions that include Q&A time and interactive discussion among the instructors and audience. Each session is based on one of more than 35 clinical categories/topics. Meeting registration is required to attend Instructional Courses at the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting. Papers ASCRS Scientific Paper Sessions will be held Saturday through Tuesday. Each session is based on one of more than 35 clinical categories/topics and will include up to 15 paper presentations based on accepted abstracts submitted by attendees for the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting. Each session is 90 minutes in length. At the end of each session, the moderator and panelists will confer to select the Best Paper of Session (BPOS) winner. Meeting registration is required to attend Scientific Paper Sessions at the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting. Electronic Posters ASCRS Electronic Posters will be available for viewing during the ASCRS Annual Meeting in the new Education Hub and available for viewing post-meeting on the ASCRS website. Electronic Posters selected for an award will have the opportunity to be presented live at the meeting in a session moderated by the poster judges. Films ASCRS Scientific Films will be available for viewing in the Education Hub during the ASCRS Annual Meeting and on the ASCRS website year-round. The 39th ASCRS Film Festival will be held virtually during the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting, with a watching party to take place during lunch on Monday. Winning films are showcased at the ASCRS Annual Meeting during the Film Festival ceremony. Submitted films are judged, and awards are given to the top films in each category with an overall grand prize winner. Award-winning films are celebrated for their innovation and educational value throughout the year in ASCRS publications, ASCRS social networking sites, the ASCRS Center for Learning, and at other ophthalmology meetings around the world. Roundtable Discussions The ASCRS Continue the Conversation roundtable discussions will be held Saturday through Monday. Attendees can engage with a faculty member and other attendees in a small group setting to discuss various anterior segment surgery topics. Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (OPS) ASCRS and the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (OPS) co-sponsor an exhibit of high-quality ophthalmic images demonstrating superior imaging techniques at the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting. OPS represents members who perform imaging of all structures of the eye using highly specialized equipment in order to increase the level of patient care and help advance the science and practice of ophthalmology. The photo selection process is judged by ophthalmologists and OPS member photographers. Meeting registration is required to attend the 2021 ASCRS Annual Meeting for those who have submitted a photograph to the OPS call for submissions.
