When asked about their confidence in deciding
between corneal, lenticular, or no surgery for
astigmatism management, the largest percentage
of respondents (42.4%) said they were confident.
Meanwhile, 18.2% said they were very confident,
and 11.1% were unconfident.
In addressing toric IOLs, 36.4% of respondents
indicated that they had done more than 30
cases of toric IOL implantation during training
or in their early experience, though 18.2%
hadn't done any toric IOL cases. Respondents
were overwhelmingly very confident (39.8%)
or confident (44.6%) with implantation and
management of toric IOLs.
